Your wedding invitations are what ultimately set the tone for your wedding. It’s the first glimpse of your wedding (other than the Save the Dates) and can truly be a “sneak peek” inside of what the evening will be like. Because of this, you’ll want the invitations to not only convey the theme/overall feel, but you also want them to show off a little bit of your personality as well! This is what will get guests excited, and what will get them sending emails like, “We are SO excited!” weeks before the big day. Here is some wedding invitation wording to make your invites stand out…
Instead of “Dinner and Dancing to follow”…
Try something fun and different! Wedding invites don’t have to be super formal anymore – try to be creative and show off your personality a little bit! We loved the wording from wedding dress designer Hayley Paige‘s invitations: “Food, booze, and phenomenal dance moves.” A few more options:
Drinks, dinner, and merriment to follow

How to address the dress code…
If you have an opinion on the dress code, definitely state it on the invitation – people want to know what they should wear! If you’re a little bit more lenient and are confident that your guests will arrive appropriately dressed, have a bit of fun with it! Again, Hayley Paige takes the cake with her words, “Dress foxy.” A few more options…

Instead of the traditional RSVP…
Believe it or not, going through your RSVPs can actually be fun. Creating mad libs for your guests is a genius idea to get people excited for your wedding – it can really show of your personalities, and is also super memorable. (Trust us, people will be talking about this!) The trick is to make sure that they are super chic and go with the theme/color palette of your wedding.
