Fun fact: Being a wedding planner isn’t nearly as glamorous as people think it is (jump to the 37-second mark at this video and you’ll see!). But on Jenny & Ed’s wedding day, being a wedding planner was every bit as glamorous as it looks on TV and in movies. A ballroom dripping in white floral, a gorgeous gown, and a sparkling city view made for the most glamorous of evenings and we were so excited to be part of it. Today, Amanda is sharing photos from Averyhouse and a sneak peek of their custom style guide.
From Amanda: When I first met Jenny, she was sure of one thing regarding her wedding day: That there would be lots of bling. ;) Both Jenny and Ed wanted the day to be a big party for all of their guests while treating them to the best view of Chicago. Going along with a classic and elegant, yet glamorous black and white color palette, we accented with tones of silver, gray, and of course, crystals & glitter! StemLine Creative nailed the look with lush white & ivory flowers intermixed with clear glass, crystals, and candles to transform the grand ballroom into Jenny & Ed’s dream wedding. And to top it all off, Jenny was radiant in an amazing Pnina Tornai gown she bought on a special trip to Kleinfeld in NYC.
In addition to the beautiful decor, the ceremony was key for both Jenny & Ed. They personalized it with a wine box unity ceremony in which they both wrote letters to each other to be opened on their one-year anniversary shared over a glass of their favorite Opus wine. The perfect evening including many cheers, dancing, and fun in the Smilebooth photobooth, and ended with a view of the Navy Pier fireworks. It was the most magical day and I’m thrilled to be reliving it as we share the beautiful photos captured by Averyhouse and a peek at their style guide!
